Camping at Lake St. Peter
In August, I took a camping trip and stayed in Lake St. Peter Provincial Park. It rained the whole trip. Despite that, the camp ground is absolutely beautiful, with lovely hiking trails, two beautiful beaches, and nice sites. We also liked that you could easily drive to Bancroft (with a perfect book store and bakery), as well as the Algonquin Park Interpretive Centre (and other places). We've camped before where there was nowhere to go if you got stuck in rain (and no showers), so this really was ideal. If you're looking for nice camp sites in Northern Ontario, I would definitely recommend it. And there were no bears!
